Merry Christmas 🎄
This time of year is especially difficult for so many of our friends and neighbors. Depression, hunger, anxiety, and loneliness are eating away at their hearts as they suffer in silence. It could be a friend or even a family member.
Fortunately, we all have the ability to provide some comfort if we just look around at what's available to us.
Over the last four years of our disaster relief efforts, we've developed a network of resources that (with your help) will allow us to provide food and personal items to all of our neighbors at no cost to them. Allowing them to focus more on living, than where their next meal is coming from or if they can pay their electric bill.
Folks shouldn't have to choose between putting food on the table and having a Merry Christmas.
As we are winding down from a busy Hurricane season the time has come to resupply and regroup. Our old food trailer has seen its last deployment and we are currently looking for a new better solution. We are in the process of converting a school bus into a command center, equiped with sleeping area for volunteers, Solar capabilities as well as being strong enough to handle the towing demands for the mission at hand.
In addition to we are also gearing up for our Veteran/First Responder kayak and fishing trip. We are in need of kayaks, camping gear and volunteers to help guide our trips.
God Bless
